Member Of The Sixers Dunk Squad Re-Learns How To Walk After Freak Accident

Go Gary Go!

You may be used to seeing him doing flips and tricks in center court at the Wells Fargo Center as a part of the Philadelphia 76ers Dunk Squad -- but as of lately, that surreal accomplishment has quickly come to a halt as Gary from South Jersey has found himself trying to learn how to walk again.

We're so used to seeing Gary and thinking "wow, how does he do all that?!" But now, it seems as though roles have reversed after a freak accident.

According to his Instagram, Gary was simply playing basketball with friends when he fell on his neck and damaged the C4 of his spine. As a result, Gary found himself in a hospital bed unable to walk and with minimal mobility of basic motor skills, aka paralysis.

But, the scary thought is no match for Gary's mindset because speaking of Instagram -- talk about a follow! Gary seems to be quite literally one of the most optimistic and positive lights I've seen in his situation, which has made his journey beyond inspiring for Philadelphian's as the city has rallied behind him.

Check out his story below, and if you would like to help Gary's road to recovery -- click on his GoFundMe page HERE
