Justin Timberlake canceled the final concert of his U.S. tour on Thursday (February 27) evening within 15 minutes of showtime, and fans were not happy.
The "Suit & Tie" standout shared his reason for calling off the show, scheduled in Columbus, Ohio, with such late notice to Instagram, citing sickness.
"You guys. I’m heartbroken. I have to cancel the show tonight. I went into soundcheck battling the flu and now it’s gotten the best of me. It kills me to disappoint you and my team who worked so hard to make this show happen. I want to reassure you, you'll be getting refunds for your tickets."
Despite reassurance they would get their money back, fans were not impressed with the last-minute cancelation, commenting, "Canceling bc of being sick is 100% understandable.. Canceling 10 minutes before the doors were to open is unacceptable," and "Has the flu and decides to let everyone know 10 minutes before? Doesn’t add up."
Others took to the comment section of the post in support of the artist, remarking, "Take care of yourself Justin I know you are heartbroken the tour ended this way. We love you so much, never forget that," and "I Flew in from CA, but you know what… your health comes first. True fans know that. Love you. Feel better."
This is not the first time the "Mirrors" hitmaker has canceled a concert last minute due to illness or injury. He called off a show in Newark, New Jersey, in October, hours before showtime, because of an "injury that is preventing me from performing."
