Demi Lovato Surprises Make-A-Wish Recipient 13 Years Later

Feel good story of the morning: Demi Lovato reunited 13 years later with a Make-A-Wish kid.

This Friday is “World Wish Day” to commemorate the original Make-A-Wish that happened on April 29, 1980.

The Make-A-Wish Foundation connected Demi to Austen, who was critically ill at age 10 with late-stage kidney disease. Now that she’s 23 years old, Austen is thriving with a blue hair and an infectious smile. Demi surprised Austen with this reunion. The tears flowed because of the shock. Also for the gratitude that Austen survived her health crisis.

Austen recalled their initial meeting in the summer of 2009 (quote) “Demi was incredible. I got a lot of cute pictures. I start singing ‘This Is Me,’ which is the song from Camp Rock.
