Apple's much-anticipated special event to launch its newest products was early today at 1pm.
It was held in the Steve Jobs Theater at Apple's campus in Cupertino, California, the first event ever held in the new venue.
Industry watchers expect the company to unveil the new iPhone 8, likely in a few versions, just as it has rolled out the iPhone 7 and iPhone 6 in previous years.
The real excitement — at least for Apple devotees — are the rumors of the so-called "iPhone X."
This version will come with a hefty price tag and luxury features, including dual rear-facing cameras and an edge-to-edge high-quality screen.
Multiple reports suggest that there may be significant delays before some of the products announced Tuesday actually go on sale.
