Mother warns parents about dangers of cold sores

A little over a month after a woman's baby died from a viral menegitis caused by herpes, another woman is bringing attention to the disease and babies.

Samantha Rodgers of Des Moines, Iowa noticed red blisters in and around her 1-year-old son's mouth. Doctors thought the boy had the flu but symptoms got worse.

The 1-year-old was named Juliano was tested for herpes and the results came back positive.

Rodgers doesn't know who may have transmitted the disease to her boy but she is warning people to be cautious with who you have kissing your baby.

Makes you want to be even more protective about who's handling your kids.
