Justin Bieber Scores Seventh No. 1 Album With 'Changes'

The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon - Season 7

Justin Bieberย just scored another number-one album!

The singer-songwriter scored his seventh No. 1 LP with his latest album,ย Changes, which soared to the top spot on the Billboard 200 chart. According to the music outlet, the record, which dropped on Valentineโ€™s Day (February 14) via SchoolBoy/Raymond Braun/Def Jam Recordings, garnered 231,000 equivalent album units in its first week of release.

The 17-track project is Bieberโ€™s first to arrive in five years. His last record,ย Purpose, also debuted at the No. 1 spot when it landed on December 5, 2015, opening with 649,000 units sold. Per the site,ย Changesย ascended the chart with the added boost of concert ticket sales for the croonerโ€™s upcomingย North American tourย this summer, merch and album bundles offered on Bieberโ€™s website.

The 25-year-old new offering features previously released singles like โ€œYummy,โ€ โ€œIntentionsโ€ (featuringย Quavo), โ€œGet Me,โ€ (featuringย Kehlani), as well as a bevy of collaborations withย Travis Scott,ย Post Malone,ย Clever, andย Lil Dicky.

As Bieber explainedย in our exclusive chatย with the star,ย Changesย centers on his love life with wifeย Hailey Baldwin. "This album's been so therapeutic to make,โ€ he told iHeartRadio. โ€œHaving the ability to share my life challenges, changes, love life [and] growth with the people who follow what I do is amazing. I love creating art both visually and sonically, and I'm excited for everyone to experience this album with me."

As previously announced,ย Bieber will be performing at this year's iHeartRadio Music Awards, where heโ€™s nominated in several categories including Best Collaboration and Best Music Video, Best Lyrics, Best Remix, as well as Best Fan Army, thanks to his Beliebers. Fans will be able to watch the 2020 iHeartRadio Music Awards live on FOX on Sunday, March 29th at 8pm ET. The event will also be broadcast on iHeartMedia stations nationwide and on iHeartRadio.
