Jake Paul & Tana Mongeau Split After 5 Months Of Marriage

Jake Paul And Tana Mongeau Celebrate Wedding Reception At Sweet Beginnings At Sugar Factory In Las Vegas

Jake Paul and Tana Mongeau are going their separate ways — at least for now.

Five months after their whirlwind wedding, the couple took to Instagram on Thursday (January 2) to announce they would be taking a break from their marriage. "OK i don’t rly know how to do a 'we’re taking a break' post & this is weird as f--k," the Mongeua wrote on Instagram with a snapshot of her laying beside Paul and their puppy. "I’m happy to still be able to sit with Jake and laugh as we do this- but for right now we both are taking a break to focus on our own very crazy lives."

"I’ll never know what the future holds and i will always love Jake and everything we did. I’m grateful to know throughout this i’ve made a best friend for life & found someone to do life with when no one understood me,” added, quipping, “Here’s to 2020, working on us, and my new Lamborghini since i get half of everything!”

The 21-year-old Internet star expressed similar sentiments in his own Instagram post, revealing the two had actually been writing their “taking a break” statements together.

“As Tana and I sit next to each other writing captions about taking a break we’re literally laughing at how crazy and stupid the past couple months have been and cracking jokes at how silly this all seems,” he wrote. “I wouldn’t change anything that happened. We’re best friends and right now it’s best for us to focus on our lives & see what the future holds.”

The break announcement comes days after Mongeau shared a confessional YouTube video in which she stated that, despite feeling unhappy about where they are in their relationship, “Jake could f—king kill my whole family, I will always love him.”

As fans know, the couple wed in a Las Vegas ceremony in July 2019 after just five months of dating.
